Full Control of Your Vehicle's Electrical Architecture
Mastering vehicle electrical architecture
with ACTIA control units
ACTIA Systems offers a comprehensive range of embedded control units specifically designed for buses and coaches. These control units are divided into two main categories: Master units and Slave units.
Master units receive commands from the driver and transmit them to the Slave units, which execute the necessary actions to control the vehicle’s electrical systems.
Slave units manage essential functions, including door operations, HVAC control, lighting, and more. This hierarchical approach ensures centralized, efficient management of the vehicle’s electrical architecture, allowing drivers to control and monitor all critical components from a single interface.

Master 25 & 68 – Third-generation multiplexed ECU for vehicle electrical architecture
Offered as an off the shelf & flexible ECU solution, Master 25/68 is a powerful Master node in vehicle electrical architecture, with high processing abilities and many communication interfaces combined with a wide range of I/Os capacities. Acting as a master and cybersecure portal for the entire electrical architecture, the master receives a command from the driver via the dashboard peripherals and then redirects this request to the slaves who will carry out the action. A true monitoring point, that will enable the vehicle’s electronic architecture to be structured, secured and optimally organised.
Benefits of ACTIA control units
- Advanced Communication Support: Equipped with 6 CAN FD channels and 2 Ethernet ports for seamless and high-speed data transfer.
- Flexible I/O Options: Offers a wide variety of input/output configurations, with the possibility to extend and adapt according to your needs.
- Direct Control of Power Modules: Easily manage and control ActiMUX power modules for enhanced system performance.
- Gateway Functionality: Acts as a bridge between different communication protocols, ensuring smooth data exchange across various platforms.
- Enhanced Cybersecurity: Optional cybersecurity features designed to meet ISO 21434 standards, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.
- Vehicle Compliance Ready: Fully supports UN-ECE WP.155 compliance, keeping your systems aligned with the latest vehicle regulations.
- Onboard Diagnostics: Provides comprehensive diagnostics directly on the system, allowing for quick issue detection and maintenance.
Multic FSX and Podium 2 – flexibility and modularity for optimal vehicle management
The Multic FSX and Podium 2, presented as control panels for the driver in the dashboard, are also classified as Masters.
Integrated as a stand-alone unit in the vehicle or directly into Podium 2, the Multic FSX can send vehicle commands via a CAN connection. The driver can send commands from the Multic FSX with switch pack (external control panel allowing the driver to send orders) or directly from the switches integrated into the Podium 2, which will pass via the Multic FSX to the slave, to carry out the action.

ACTIA MPS 33: The ultimate controller with safety & cybersecurity features
Unlike the Master 68, Multic FSX or Podium 2, which acts as a master and transmits the action or command, the MPS 33 (Master Power Safety/Security) will receive the order and execute it. The MPS is the last node in the connected architecture. It will carry out the action first sent by the driver in his cab. These operations refer to all the possible actions and controls within a vehicle’s electronic architecture (opening doors, managing vehicle lights, air conditioning/heating, etc.).
Suitable for a connected electrical architecture with safety features management, the ACTIA MPS range is cybersecurity-ready and can be used as an off the shelf solutions for a quick implementation.
The MPS 33 controller is a powerful device equipped with increased capacities, certified functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity abilities.
It is based on ACTIA concept of a subfunctions used in a “safety” chain and ACTIA vision on securing a legacy architecture.
